Tavis McAuley | Architect AIBC, CP
Tavis McAuley is a registered Architect, specializing in building code and Certified Professional (CP) consulting services. Tavis draws on his extensive experience working as a design architect and building envelope consultant to inform his approach to building code consulting and acting CP. He has experience across all phases, scales, and building types for both new and existing projects. Having worked full-time in construction administration for several years, he also has extensive field experience to translate the theory to practice.Tavis has a clear communication style that results in effective collaboration with design teams, clients, and stakeholders. He enjoys being an educator within the profession and working with clients and architects to rationalize the building code requirements within each project.

Beth Hicks | Building Code Consultant
Beth has an undergraduate degree in environmental design from the University of Manitoba and a masters degree in international construction management from the University of Bath in England; in addition to having successfully completed and passed the Certified Professional exam here in British Columbia. She has experience working in a variety of roles for architects, general contractors and real estate developers, including the management and delivery of multiple mixed-use developments from acquisition and entitlements to occupancy. This background provides Beth with a unique perspective on project constraints and allows her to provide clients with tailored code solutions. -
Harry Neutel | Building Code Consultant – Field Review
Harry has extensive construction experience working as a foreman on complex building sites in the lower mainland for over 15 years. With a passion for maintaining the integrity and quality of construction, Harry has leveraged his practical experience to build a successful career in the field of building code consulting.With an attention to detail Harry conducts site review of fire and life safety aspects of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. He possesses an astute ability to identify firestopping issues, fire separation continuity, fire safety hazards, as well as assist with occupancy phase functional testing. By leveraging his practical expertise, Harry plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects comply with the BCBC, and ultimately provide safe environments for building occupants.
Harry excels in communicating field review findings effectively, both verbally and in detailed written reports. He collaborates closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and city inspections staff to address identified issues and ensure compliance. His exceptional interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to navigate complex projects make him a valuable asset to any project team.
